Dopo i recenti Gotham Awards, la cosiddetta Award Season inizia ufficialmente con l’assegnazione dei New York Film Critics Awards, i premi della critica cinematografica della Grande Mela. Vincono Killers of the Flower Moon di Martin Scorsese e Christopher Nolan con il suo Oppenheimer. Premiati anche Hayao Miyazaki con Il Ragazzo e l’Airone e Justine Triet con Anatomia di una Caduta.
