La stagione dei premi è ricominciata. Dopo il rinvio degli Emmy Awards 2023 causato dagli scioperi ad Hollywood, sono iniziate, ovviamente, ad accavallarsi anche le nomination di altri premi che, invece, si riferiscono al 2024. In un’annata così ben riuscita per quanto riguarda il mondo della serialità (sia nel dramma che nella commedia) era quasi scontato che le candidature dei Critics Choice Awards 2024, che fanno seguito ad altri premi come quello degli Indipendent Spirit Awards riuscissero a dare una visione di insieme del panorama dell’intrattenimento televisivo dell’ultimo anno. I titoli presenti sono più o meno quelli che tutti aspettavano, mentre, invece, si fa sentire la mancanza di Ted Lasso che, dopo aver dominato negli anni passati, ha ottenuto per la sua ultima stagione solo una candidatura in una categoria attoriale.

Critics Choice Awards 2024: quali sono i candidati?

Colpaccio quello di The Morning Show che conquista il trono di serie con maggior candidature, seguito da ottimi risultati in termini di numeri conquistati anche da Shrinking, The Last of Us e Only Murders in the Building che sono riusciti a racimolare, anche loro, un cospicuo gruzzoletto di candidature. Ennesima conferma, invece, è l’ultima stagione di Succession che si conferma essere una delle serie più premiate e apprezzate da pubblico e critica dell’ultimo ventennio televisivo. La realtà è che, da diversi anni, seguire i “premi” che ruotano intorno alle serie tv è diventato sorprendentemente avvincente. Il modo in cui la serialità, nel corso del tempo, ha conquistato un posto d’onore, sia a livello produttivo che qualitativo, accanto al cinema rende lo spettatore ancor più affamato di prodotti di qualità che siano capaci di raccontare storie anche in più di due ore. Proprio per questo motivo, i Critics Choice Awards risultano essere un ottimo “termometro” per capire in che direzione potrebbe andare l’annata televisiva.
